UPDATE: Suspect Charged in Peeping Incident in West Springfield, Not Hayfield

Police charged a Springfield man after a couple saw him peering into their bedroom window after 1 a.m. in the West Springfield area.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- (UPDATE Tuesday 11:55 a.m.): Fairfax County Police report a peeping incident took place early Saturday in the West Springfield area, not the Hayfield area. Police say the incident was reported at 1:38 a.m. Saturday in the 5800 block of Wexford Drive.

The police report Monday erroneously reported that the incident took place on Wexford Drive. The incident actually took place in West Springfield on Rexford Drive, police said Tuesday.

A man and a woman were in their bedroom when they noticed someone outside, looking into their window, so they called police, FCPD reported Monday. When officers arrived, they saw the suspect, still looking into the window.
