WNBA Star Elena Delle Donne, Teammates Highlight Springfield Event
The "It's Her Shot" event in Springfield will feature Washington Mystics stars Elena Delle Donne, Natasha Cloud and Myisha Hines-Allen.
SPRINGFIELD, VA — DICK’S Sporting Goods and Nike are hosting an “It’s Her Shot” event at The St. James in Springfield on Saturday, an event that will feature Washington Mystics stars Elena Delle Donne, Natasha Cloud and Myisha Hines-Allen.
The “It’s Her Shot” event debuted in 2021 on the street courts of Venice Beach in California. In 2022, the event has been held in Los Angeles, Chicago, Minneapolis and New York.
The sixth installment of the "It's Her Shot" event at The St. James in Springfield, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, will aim to empower young female athletes to take their place on the court.

With open court sessions, pro-led clinics, giveaways and live DJ sets, girls ages 8 to 18 will be able to come out and play. The event is free to attend on a first-come, first-served basis and sign-ups are available online at itshershotevents.com.
Programming for the event includes “courtside chats” with professional players and coaches; pickup games; skills clinics, shooting contests and other basketball competitions; and prizes and giveaways.

Elena Delle Donne will appear at the event from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Natasha Cloud and Myisha Hines-Allen will appear from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The St. James is located at 6805 Industrial Road in Springfield.
