  1. The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a shooting in Miller Park involving two shooters and two victims. The victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and police recovered seven casings in the Miller Park pool area. The story is still developing and more information is expected to be released. (WFXR)
  2. Sandusky Middle School is set to receive new musical instruments courtesy of the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation, a national organization that supports music education in schools. The foundation donates new instruments to underserved schools with minimal budgets, often replacing instruments that are over 30 years old. This donation comes as many school music programs across the U.S. face funding cuts. (ABC 13 News)
  3. In December, Roscoe Turner, owner of Lynchburg Music Center and Lynchburg Pawn Shop, discovered that over $30,000 had been transferred from two of his bank accounts to unknown accounts in California. Turner contacted his banks, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Bedford County Sheriff's Office immediately after discovering the transactions. The transfer of funds was unauthorized and remains under investigation, but Turner believes his late wife's identity has been stolen. (ABC 13 News)
