23 Manassas Residents Graduate from University of Mary Washington

Graduation commencement ceremonies were held on May 10 and May 11 in Fredericksburg.

Twenty-three Manassas residents were among the 1,273 graduates who received degrees this month from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg.

Dr. William "Bill" Cleveland Bosher Jr., public policy expert and former Virginia superintendent of education, delivered the commencement address for master's candidates on May 10 and Steve Pemberton, business executive  and noted author, delivered the undergraduate commencement address on May 11.

Minji Ahn graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.

Amy L. Allshouse graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.

Ryan T. Baldwin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.

Tally Tracy Alison Botzer graduated with a Master's degree in Education.

Elisabeth C. Butler graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology.

Anissa R. Felix graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater.

Megan C. Gallagher graduated with a Bachelor of Arts  degree in history.

Ashlande Gelin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics.

Paige A. Gibbons graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in historic preservation.

Jonah E. Higginbottom graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics and mathematics.

Stacey Wood Joedicke, a resident of Manassas, Va., graduated with a Master's degree in education.

Paul F. Keily graduated magna cum laude with Bachelor of Arts degree in English: creative writing.

Michael C. Munnis  graduated with highest distinction with Bachelor of Professional Studies degree.

Jessica E. O'Connell graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in historic preservation.

Caroline M. Primus  graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology.

Caitlin M. Robertson graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.

Charlotte A. Rodina  graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.

Regan B. Royster graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science.

Margaret E. Shaw graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology.

Katherine T. Sleyman graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art.

Kevin P. Tyler graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree with a certificate in geo spatial information systems.

Terrence S. Watson  graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.

Joseph A. Yanci graduated with a master's degree in management information systems.

In all, the university awarded 85 Master of Business Administration degrees, 111 Master of Education degrees, 15 Master of Science in Management Information Systems, 34 Master of Science in Elementary Education Degrees, 418 Bachelor of Arts degrees, 61 Bachelor of Liberal Studies degrees, 63 Bachelor of Professional Studies degrees and 484 Bachelor of Science degrees.

Two graduates received both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems through a dual-degree program.
