4 Children Without Proper Restraints Injured In PWC Crash, Manassas Man Charged

A Manassas man is facing felony child abuse and other charges related to a crash with four children under 12 in the car.

NOKESVILLE, VA — A Manassas man was charged in a crash that injured four children in Nokesville Monday, according to Prince William County Police.

Officers responded to the 13100 block of Old Church Road in Nokesville around 7:15 p.m. Monday. According to police, the driver crashed the car, injuring the four children who were not properly secured. The suspect fled the area before emergency services arrived.

The children, who are under age 12, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. They were released to the custody of other known parties.

Police obtained arrest warrants for the suspect, Oscar Campos, 46, of Manassas on four counts of felony child abuse, four counts of failure to use proper child restraints, and one count of reckless driving. He turned who turned himself in to police on Tuesday.
