You Said It: “Sorry, but girls are way less likely to commit vandalism and theft like this, especially in rural areas.” — A reader committing on the theft of a metal rooster that was decorating a mailbox stand in the Bristow area. The owner said the mailbox had to have been ripped from the ground to steal the rooster.

4. Number of the Day: 3. That’s the number of firefighters taken to the emergency room when their fire engine crashed, rolling onto its side in route to a reported house fire Monday morning. They were released Monday evening. The fire they were trying to reach was minor and handled by a second unit.
5.The oldest recorded eruption of Mount Fuji was on July 31, 781. Recently, a dog was rescued on the peak of Mount Fuji after spending weeks living on scraps. No word on identifying an owner.
