MANASSAS, VA — Chris Edwards scratched off a "50X the Money" lottery ticket and quietly when to where his wife was sleeping. He kissed her and said, "I just won $5 millon!"
Edwards decided on the one-time cash option of $2,808,989.
The Manassas man bought the ticket at the Giant Food at 8025 Sudley Road — the store gets a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

This is the second top prize awarded in the 50X game, meaning there is one more left to be claimed. The chances of winning the top prize are 1 in 1,632,000, according to Virginia Lottery officials.
Edwards waited two weeks to claim the prize while he sought financial advice. He'll be investing the money and taking care of his family, according to a lottery release.

Edwards was the second new millionaire announced Friday by Virginia Lottery officials. Maria Victoria Sabillo claimed a $1 million prize after Wednesday's Powerball drawing.
