AI-Powered Robot Company Opening Regional Location In Manassas

MANASSAS, VA — Robots providing services to businesses and agencies is the specialty of a company coming to Manassas, according to the city's economic development team.

RobotLAB Fairfax, which specializes in robotics and artificial intelligence, has selected Manassas for its Northern Virginia-serving location. The company provides robots that can provide services to restaurants, hotels, assisted living facilities, businesses, government agencies, and the tourism and hospitality industries. The options include classroom, healthcare, hospitality, logistics and security robots.

The Texas-based company has 35 nationwide locations. The franchise owner of the Manassas-based headquarters is Samuel Idossa, who is based in Manassas.

"Being the first to bring RobotLAB’s AI and robotics technology to my own community is so fulfilling," said Isossa via a Manassas Economic Development news release.

A few examples of services RobotLAB's robots provide would be cleaning, disinfection, food delivery, room service, check-ins and check-outs, mail delivery, security and more. Clients receive robot deployment, training and maintenance from RobotLAB.

Idossa received support from the Mason SBDC and Prince William Chamber to open the Northern Virginia location. According to Manassas Economic Development, the full-service robotics company will "complement the City's global industry leaders in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, and technology."

RobotLAB could have a ribbon cutting with the Prince William Chamber of Commerce in September.
