Bomb Threat Reported At Data Center Construction Site In Manassas Area

A bomb threat led to a precautionary building evacuation at a data center construction site, according to Prince William County Police.

MANASSAS, VA — A bomb threat was found at a data center construction site Tuesday in the Manassas area, according to Prince William County Police.

Around 7:01 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the 11500 block of Hayden Road for a reported bomb threat. Police say a construction site employee found the threat written on the door of a porta potty. A building evacuation followed as a precaution, but police found no credible threat to the building.

Prince William County Police confirmed to Patch that the location of the incident was a data center construction site. The area is part of a data center overlay district, where the county recommends data center uses in Prince William County.

Under Virginia code, a bomb threat could result in the Class 5 felony charge.
