Break-Ins Affect Multiple Vehicles In Manassas: Police
After a resident reported a fraudulent purchase tied to a car break-in, police found multiple vehicles had been broken into.
MANASSAS, VA — What started as a fraudulent purchase led to an investigation into multiple car break-ins in Manassas, city police say.
On Sunday, Manassas City Police were notified about a resident receiving a fraudulent purchase alert from a Wawa convenience store. The resident reported that the debit card used in the purchase may have been stolen out of a car.
When police responded to the neighborhood in the 9000 block of Coriander Circle, officers found several vehicles were unlawfully entered and rummaged through. The vehicles were processed for potential fingerprints and other evidence.

Manassas City Police encourage residents to lock car doors and secure valuables inside of their homes, not in vehicles.
