Several county agencies are hosting a community meeting Saturday to obtain feedback on the future use of one area of Prince William County.
The county is in the process of creating a master plan for the Doves Landing site to identify appropriate public uses of the land and areas of activity, according to an announcement from the PWC Department of Parks and Recreation.
Parks and recs officials, along with those from PWC Department of Public Works and the county's Historic Preservation Division will host a community discussion on the planned master plan improvements and public, passive recreational uses of the site.
After the meeting there is a guided walking tour of the preserved natural area, the plants and the wildlife in Dove's Landing.
Organizers of the meeting suggest attendees dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Bug spray and binoculars are also suggested, but pets should remain at home.
