Wing Walker Crash Victim Planned to Marry Fiance During Air Stunt

Bristow's Jane Wicker and her pilot died in Ohio air show crash Saturday.

Manassas-area wing walker Jane Wicker planned to marry Virginia United Airlines pilot Rock Skowbo before she lost her life in a fiery airplane crash on Saturday in Dayton, Ohio, according to a wedding information website that the couple set up before her death.

Wicker and Oakton pilot Charlie Schwenker were in the middle of a performance at the Vectren Air Show near Dayton when the plane flew low to the ground and crashed.

Wicker and Skowbo were engaged on Dec. 12 2012 in Las Vegas at an airshow convention and the couple planned to wed in a wing-walking ceremony sometime in 2014, according to the website.

The couple planned to take off in a plane piloted by their officiate, climb out of the cockpit and onto the wings, Wicker on one wing and Skowbo on the other,  and say their vows while circling the airport.

The couple met in July 2010 where Wicker took her 450 HP Boeing Stearman Biplane, Aurora to the Flying Circus Airshow in Bealeton, Va.
