Fire At Manassas Grocery Store Causes Temporary Closure
A grocery store is temporarily closed after a fire in a refrigerated display, according to the City of Manassas Fire Department.

MANASSAS, VA — A grocery store in Manassas is temporarily closed after a fire on Friday, according to the fire department.
City of Manassas and Prince William County's fire departments had responded to the Lidl store at 9795 Liberia Avenue for a fire inside the commercial building. Units found heavy smoke inside and put out a fire in a large refrigerated display case. A search of the building did not find any people needing rescue. A ventilation unit responded to help with smoke removal.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire. The investigation was turned over to the Prince William County Fire Marshal's Office.

The Lidl store, which opened in 2021, is now listed as temporarily closed. Lidl has another Manassas location at 11782 Sudley Manor Drive in the Bull Run neighborhood.
