MANASSAS, VA — Residents can head downtown for back-to-back fall themed festivities Friday and Saturday.

First up is First Friday, a monthly event that turns downtown streets into a block party. This month's theme is Pumpkin Palooza. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, some downtown streets are closed to vehicular traffic to allow for an event with live music, activities, exclusive offerings from downtown shops and restaurants and more. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased from designated vendors and enjoyed in select areas under the city's Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area event permit.

This is the second last First Friday event in 2025.

Live entertainment will be held on two stages — the Center Street Stage and Harris Pavilion Stage. Children's activities include pumpkin decorating in the ARTFactory parking lot, Cinderella meet-and-greet on Battle Street from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., inflatables and bounce house in the Water Tower lot, and selfie stations throughout the event.
