Ground Beef Recalled At Manassas Grocery Store May Contain 'Foreign Material'
Food Lion reported that four varieties of ground beef have been recalled due to possibly containing "foreign material."
MANASSAS, VA — A ground beef recall has been reported at Food Lion, and it only affects one of the grocery chain's locations in Manassas.
Food Lion reported that four varieties of in-store prepared ground beef have been recalled at the 6306 Hoadly Road location in Manassas. The recalled beef may contain "traces of foreign material," according to the grocery store chain.
The ground beef varieties were prepared on Aug. 18 and include 73 percent lean fresh ground beef (all sizes), 80 percent lean fresh ground chuck (all sizes), 85 percent lean fresh ground beef round (all sizes) and 93 percent lean fresh ground beef (all sizes).

Customers who purchased the affected ground beef are advised not to eat it. They can return it to the store for a refund equaling double the purchase price, per Food Lion's policy.
