Supply Chain Issues Delay Harris Pavilion Renovations, Allowing More 2025 Events

MANASSAS, VA — As renovations to the seasonal ice rink at Harris Pavilion will be delayed, the City of Manassas said seasonal events will proceed at the outdoor venue.

According to the city government, uncertainties in the supply chain for ice rink construction materials mean ice rink piping renovations won't happen this year. The new timeline for renovations will be January 2026 to April 2026.

"The City is working to order the materials in advance, to secure current prices and avoid future increases, ensuring the project remains within budget," the city said in a statement.

The Thursday Manassas Farmers Market and Acoustic Tuesdays will return regularly throughout the spring and summer. There will be a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. on Thursday for the farmers market opening. The farmers market will run Thursdays, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Harris Pavilion through Oct. 30, as well as Saturdays, from April 12 to Nov. 22 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Prince William Street Parking Lot.

The city has released a schedule for the 2025 live performances, but additional dates possible now that Harris Pavilion renovations are delayed.

Other events being held at Harris Pavilion will be the Equality Prince william Pride Festival on May 17 and Puerto Rican Festival on June 14. Harris Pavilion also hosts rotating children's activities during First Friday dates from June to October.

In the winter season, the city plans to host ice skating at Harris Pavilion from November 2025 through Jan. 4, 2026 before renovations begin.
