Hit-And-Run Victim Found in Middle of the Roadway in Manassas Area

27-year-old suffered extensive injuries consistent with being struck by a car, according to Prince William County Police investigators.

MANASSAS, VA — A man found lying in the middle of the road Monday morning was likley the victim of a hit and run, according to Prince William County Police.

The 27-year-old victim suffered extensive injuries to his body and was flown to an area hospital, according to police. His name has not been released.

At 3:09 a.m. Monday, officers responded to the 8400 block of Leland Road in the Yorkshire area after a caller reported that the man was lying in the road.

There were no witnesses to the incident, but investigators say the injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
