GAINESVILLE, VA — Voters in part of Prince William County can cast a ballot in a Republican primary on Tuesday, deciding who will be on the ballot in a key House of Delegates race.
The Republican primary is for Virginia House District 21 in western Prince William County, but it's only open to voters within that district. Candidates are Gregory Lee "Greg" Gorham, Sahar S. Smith, and Xanthe M. Larsen. The current representative for the district is Democratic Del. Josh Thomas, who is running for re-election.
According to the Virginia Public Access Project, the 21st House District is labeled as a competitive district. In November, all 100 House of Delegates seats will be up for election, along with the Virginia governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. Some localities will have local elections in addition to the statewide races.
