Ice Skating Rink Prepares To Open For Season In Manassas
Downtown Manassas will bring back its ice skating rink with several special events planned for the season.
MANASSAS, VA — Harris Pavilion is trading outdoor concerts and activities for ice as it transforms into an ice rink for the winter. The ice rink at Harris Pavilion in downtown Manassas will open for the season on Nov. 21 through Jan. 4, 2026.
Skate rentals are available with ice skating reservations. Skate aids can be rented in person on a first come, first served basis.
Hours at the skating rink are 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. It is closed on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 27) and Christmas Day (Dec. 25).

There are several special events planned for the season. On Dec. 9, visitors are encouraged to wear holiday pajamas and receive a free cup of hot cocoa. Non-pajamas-wearing guests can buy hot cocoa for $2.
On Dec. 16, don your best ugly holiday sweater. One skater during each session will be chosen to win a pair of free admission tickets for the next season. Winners will be picked based on creativity and festive spirit.

On Dec. 30, enjoy a Glow Skate Night with the lights turned down from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Skaters during this session will receive free glow sticks, and extras will be available for $1.
