Manassas Labor Day Protest Against Trump Administration Planned
Democrats are organizing a "Workers Over Billionaires" protest in Manassas on Labor Day.

MANASSAS, VA — Labor Day, a holiday honoring the contributions of workers, will be met with a "Workers Over Billionaires" protest against the Trump administration in Manassas.
Manassas is one of the locations across the U.S. holding protests against the "billionaire takeover," according to Time Magazine. There have been protests on July 4 and "No Kings" protests amid the June 14 U.S. Army's 250th Anniversary Grand Military Parade in D.C. The Manassas event page cites a "billionaire takeover" of the federal government that benefits billionaires and hurts working families.
The Labor Day protest is happening on Sept. 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the City of Manassas Community Center at Marsteller Park, 8750 Sudley Road. Volunteers with the Manassas and Manassas Park Cities Democratic Committee are organizing the event. Organizers say they applied for a permit with the City of Manassas to allow the public gathering, and attendees must follow event guidelines and laws.
