Labor Day Weekend Festival In Manassas Features Bands And Brews

MANASSAS, VA — Historic Downtown Manassas is holding its 10th annual Bands, Brews and Barbecue Festival on Saturday, Sept. 4 from noon to 6 p.m. on the grounds of the Manassas Museum.

The ticketed event will feature award-winning craft beers and distilled spirits, some of Northern Virginia’s best barbecue and a great lineup of live music throughout the afternoon.

Tickets are now available and range in price from $20 to $80, depending on how much you plan to eat and drink. Children under the age of 12 will be admitted for free.

Music will be provided by local artists Scarlett Awakening, Michael Christopher and Shakin’ Woods throughout Saturday afternoon.

Participating breweries and distilleries include: Cedar Run Brewery, Eavesdrop Brewery, Falls Church Distillers, KO Distilling, Lost Barrel Brewing, Lost Boy Cider, MurLarkey Distilled Spirits, Ornery Beer Company, Rocket Frog Brewing Company, Tucked Away Brewing Company.

A cornhole tournament will be held on the Manassas Museum grounds. Registration for partners begins at noon and the tournament will kick off at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place.

Historic Downtown Manassas is strongly encouraging masking and social distancing, when appropriate, at the event.

“Safety is our priority when hosting these outdoor events,” Deltone Moore, president of the Historic Manassas Inc. board of directors, said in a statement. “We appreciate everyone’s cooperation so we can continue to promote our historic downtown and local businesses through these family friendly activities.”
