Man Assaults Probation Officer after Learning He was Going to Jail
The man fled the scene was later found in a Manassas shopping center.

A Manassas man didn't take the news of his going to jail very well at all this week.
Toby Allen Terry, 43, of Spruce Street was in the Probation and Parole Office at 8:10 a.m. Thursday when he learned he was going to jail for a probation violation, Manassas Police reports show.
Upon hearing the news, he assaulted a probation officer and fled the building.

He was located later that day at the Wellington Station Shopping Center on Dumfries Road in Manassas and was taken into custody.
The probation officer was not injured, but the suspect is charged with escape from custody and assault on law enforcement officer. He was held at the adult detention center in Manassas under a $5,000 bond.
