Manassas Mall Seeks To Fill Void As Dulles Expo Center Closes: Report

MANASSAS, VA — While the upcoming closure of the Dulles Expo Center will leave event organizers looking for new spaces, Manassas Mall could be one of them.

Washington Business Journal reported that Manassas Mall's owner submitted a plan to turn the former At Home store into an expo center. The Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly will close in late 2025 and will become an IKEA store. IKEA indicated the store is aimed to open in spring 2026.

The Nation's Gun Show has already announced plans to run at the Manassas Mall on Jan. 2 to 4, and the report indicates additional events will be announced pending permit approval.'
