Manassas Restaurant Inspections: No Handwashing Before Food Prep, Encrusted Dirt

MANASSAS, VA — Some restaurants in the Manassas area recorded violations during recent health department inspections by the Prince William Health District.

Health inspectors conduct most restaurant and other health inspections in person. However, some visits, such as those for training purposes, can be conducted virtually. Violations typically focus on factors that can contribute to food contamination. The local health department can also perform a re-inspection to ensure that possible violations have been corrected.

• Sliced tomatoes and shredded lettuce were placed into the walk in refrigerator on the second shelf and covered. Also, after slicing tomatoes were placed into the delfield 1 door sandwich prep refrigerator at the top and covered.
• Shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes were placed into the walk in refrigerator and delfield 1 door sandwich prep refrigerator covered after being prepared.
• The outdoor waste receptacles doors were open.
