Manassas Man Claims $100K Powerball Prize
A Manassas area resident won a Powerball prize by matching five of the six numbers.

MANASSAS, VA — After the Feb. 28 Powerball drawing, Albert Stewart heard that someone in Virginia won a $100,000 prize.
"That could be me," he thought to himself.

The resident of Manassas in Prince William County scored the prize by matching four of the five numbers plus the Powerball number. Normally, that prize is $50,000. Stewart doubled the prize by spending an extra dollar for Power Play when buying the ticket.
"It feels outstanding! I couldn’t be happier!" Stewart told the Virginia Lottery.

The winning ticket came from the 7-Eleven at 13639 Dumfries Road in Manassas. The winning numbers in the Feb. 28 drawing were 16-26-29-38-50, and the Powerball number was 6.
Powerball drawings are held at 10:59 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The current Powerball jackpot is up to $1.09 billion with a cash option of $527.3 million.
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, while the chances of winning any Powerball prize are 1 in 25.
