MANASSAS PARK, VA — As confusion with Manassas is a lingering concern for Manassas Park, the city will consider a road renaming proposal for Manassas Drive.

The City of Manassas Park is looking into changing the name of a portion of Manassas Drive to either Park Boulevard or Park Drive. The change is proposed between Mathis Avenue and Signal View Drive and wouldn't affect any residential addresses, the city says.

According to a city manager presentation, Manassas Drive was named as part of the original subdivision that was part of the Prince William County area of Manassas. Now, Manassas Park is an independent city and has the neighboring City of Manassas to the south.
