How Manassas Precincts Voted In 2025 Virginia Gubernatorial Election

Manassas election results show more votes going to Democrat Abigail Spanberger in all city precincts.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — City of Manassas voters supported Democrat Abigail Spanberger in Tuesday's gubernatorial election.

Statewide, Spanberger gained 57.19 percent of the vote while current Republican Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears had 42.61 percent, according to unofficial results from the Virginia Department of Elections. In the City of Manassas, Spanberger won 65.13 percent of votes and Earle-Sears had 34.71 percent.

Democrats Ghazala Hashmi and Jay Jones won the statewide races for lieutenant governor and attorney general, respectively.

Democrats also secured wins in other Manassas races. Democrat Tim Demeria won re-election as the city's commissioner of revenue with 62.46 percent of votes. Republican Deon Shamberger won 37 percent of votes.

In the treasurer's race, Democrat Patricia Richie-Folks won re-election with 65.25 percent of votes over Republican Nate Fritzen with 34.19 percent of votes.

Del. Michelle Lopes Maldonado won re-election in the 20th House District race. Maldonado had 67.80 percent of votes in the district, which includes the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park and part of Prince William County. Republican Christopher Stone had dropped out and received 23.92 percent of votes. Write-in votes received 8.28 percent of votes, which may be attributed to Republican Stephen Kent's write-in campaign.

Results are unofficial until certification by the State Board of Elections. Local electoral boards typically review provisional ballots after the election to determine if they will be counted. Additional vote tallies are possible, as mail-in ballots postmarked by Nov. 4 must be received by the elections office by noon on Nov. 7.
