Manassas Schools Calendar Commenting Period Extended Until Wednesday

The public has more time to weigh in on the Manassas City Public Schools 2013-2014 calendar.

Manassas City school administrators want input from parents and other residents on the structuring of the school division’s calendar for the next two school years.

Suggestions and opinions for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school year will be accepted until Wednesday.

Manassas City Schools Calendar Committee members have already come up with their proposed student and staff calendars and the 12-month calendars for both years.  View what they propose here.

Virginia code requires all state school divisions to have at least 180 instructional days or 990 instructional hours.  Kindergarten classes may have less.

The proposed calendars will be reviewed based on comments from the community and staff and are scheduled for approval at the March 19th School Board meeting.
