Heavy Fire In Manassas Area Injures 1 Person, Displaces 5
A heavy fire at a townhouse displaced at least five people and injured one, Prince William County Fire and Rescue said.
MANASSAS, VA — At least five people were displaced from a townhouse fire with significant damage in the Manassas area Saturday night, according to Prince William County Fire and Rescue.
Around 8:26 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to the 9000 block of Whitemoss Drive in Manassas for a townhouse fire. Units found heavy fire in the back quickly extending into the home. A second alarm was requested. All residents had safely evacuated, and one resident was taken to a medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries.
The townhouse where the fire occurred had extensive damage, according to the fire department. The home and an adjoining unit were declared unsafe to occupy, displacing at least five adults. Red Cross is assisting displaced residents.

The fire marshal's office responded to the scene to investigate what caused the fire. The fire department has not released the cause of the fire.
