National Hot Dog Day, Tuesday Farmers' Market, Ford's First Car

It’s Tuesday, July 23. Here are five things you need to know. Tell us what we need to know on the Patch message board!

1. This is the first day of the Tuesday Manassas Farmers' Market. The market is from 4 to 7 p.m. in Lot F at the corner of Prince William and Main Streets.

2. You Said It: “Is this all you wanted to say about this topic????” A post on our boards Monday discussed incarceration and race. Several comments (some more helpful than others) followed, including a spelling correction from another reader. That prompted the author to respond, “Donna, thanks. Is this all you wanted to say about this topic????” Donna replied, “Yep.”

3. In Case You Missed It: Manassas 7-year-old collects hundreds of shoes for charity.

4. Number of the Day: 12. That’s the age of young Lina Sbihi. The rising seventh grader at Gainesville Middle School won a gold medal in taekwondo this month in the  12-14 age division at the USA National Taekwondo Championship in Chicago. Manassas Patch has a video of a recent practice.

5. Today in History: The Ford Motor Company sells its first car in 1903
