New Grocery Store Planned For Former Amazon Fresh Space In Manassas: Report

MANASSAS, VA — The vacant space left by Amazon Fresh in Manassas will soon get a new store.

Prince William Times reported that New Grand Mart will occupy the grocery store anchor space at Sudley Manor Square (7807 Sudley Road). The grocery store's website describes it as an international grocery store with a "variety of fresh produce, fish, meats, and ethnic specialty items that is hard for other markets to match." There was no initial information on an opening date.

Aamzon Fresh, which Prince William County said was the largest in the U.S. when it opened in June 2022, had closed in March. As the store prepared to close in March, Prince William County had announced it was working on an initiative with the Urban Land Institute and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments to seek improvements for the Sudley Road Corridor. The county said recommendations will guide a small area plan to map out long-term redevelopment and investment goals.
