Old Dominion Freight Line Expands Its Manassas-Area Facility

The transportation company is located just outside of Manassas in Bristow.

A leading trucking company announced Monday it had completed the expansion of its Manassas-area facility. 

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. a North Carolina-based transportation management and truck brokerage company, recently finished several technological upgrades to its facility located at 7937 Gainsford Court in Bristow, just outside of Manassas in Prince William County. 

Company officials said the upgrade will allow the the company to accommodate an increase in customer demand in the Washington DC metro, specifically Northern Virginia.

“With 12 additional doors and numerous technological upgrades, Old Dominion is now better poised for growth in the region,” Michael McCormick, manager of the Manassas Service Center said in a release.  “We look forward to offering our premium service from our larger, improved service center.”

The Bristow facility now boasts 40 doors and 40 employees.

It is one of nine in Virginia and it serves most areas in Northern Virginia including Dulles, Sterling, Chantilly, Springfield, Alexandria and Quantico as well as Stafford and Culpepper counties. 

The company has experienced other successes and growths this year, including being named to Forbes Magazine America’s 100 Most Trustworthy Companies.  Old Dominion Freight Line was also named the 2013 Carrier of the Year by the National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council (NASSTRAC.)
