Osbourn High Graduate to Play Division I College Football
Dean College student and 2011 Osbourn High graduate Rodney "Lucky" Whitehead will soon play for the Florida Atlantic University Owls.

Osbourn High graduate Rodney "Lucky" Whitehead is moving up to the big leagues.
After two seasons as a slot receiver on the Dean College football team, Whitehead has signed on to play Division I football at Florida Atlantic University, Josh Singer, marketing director for Dean College, said.
Whitehead has earned other accolades this season, Singer said.

He was also recently named a National Junior College Association All American.
Whitehead was named a first team tight end for the All American team, according to the Dean College blog.

In 2012 Whitehead rushed for a total of 294 yards on 46 attempts and scored three touchdowns.
He also caught a total of 30 passes for a total of 602 yards, averaging of 20.1 yards per catch, according to Dean College data.
Whitehead was a standout player at Osbourn High School, where he graduated in 2011.
