Affordable Housing Vote At Former DMV Site Delayed As Manassas Residents Speak Out (patch.com) — Manassas residents packed a recent City Council meeting to debate a proposed 100‑unit affordable apartment complex at the former DMV site near The Landing at Cannon Branch, prompting officials to delay a key land sale vote until late January. Supporters highlighted the need for attainable housing for teachers, first responders, and young workers, while opponents raised concerns about traffic, density, parking, building quality, and limited nearby transit and amenities.

Manassas man, 29, dies after crash on the Dulles Greenway (princewilliamtimes.com) — A 29-year-old man from Manassas was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash Monday afternoon on the Dulles Greenway in Loudoun County, according to Virginia State Police. Troopers say his vehicle left eastbound Va. 267 and rolled multiple times, ejecting him, and they are investigating speed as a possible factor. The crash remains under investigation.
   

4. Kaiser Permanente Awards Funding to Strengthen Community Health in Greater Prince William (princewilliamliving.com) — Manassas residents will benefit from new Kaiser Permanente grants supporting local health and basic-needs services across Greater Prince William. Funding for Greater Prince William Community Health Center and House of Mercy will expand access to medical care, food, clothing, and other essentials for families in Manassas, Manassas Park, and Prince William County. These investments aim to strengthen long-term community health and stability.
   

5. Woodbridge girls win district opener by two; Dec. 9 roundup (insidenova.com) — A recent girls basketball roundup includes a lopsided win as Brentsville defeated Manassas Park 71–2, with three Tigers scoring in double figures.
