Police: Parents Arrested After Leaving Kids Home Alone

Prince William County Police said they arrested two parents after they allegedly left their three young children at home alone for several hours.

The 25-year-old female and 36-year-old male were arrested on Oct. 3 and each charged with three counts of reckless endangerment of a child. Patch is not identifying them to preserve their children's privacy. A neighbor of the parents called the police after finding the children left unattended at the home on the 7400 block of Willoughby Lane. 

Detectives from the Physical Abuse Unit responded to the call shortly after 4 p.m. The children, ages 6, 2, and 1, were placed in the custody of family members. Bond information for the two parents was unavailable.
