Police: Woman Raped at Gunpoint in Wooded Area
Officers used a K-9 to search for the suspect, who is still at large.

A Herndon woman reported that she was raped at gunpoint in the Manassas area Thursday night.
Prince William County Police responded to the area of Maplewood Drive and Peakwood Court at 11:15 p.m. The 31-year-old victim reported that she was walking to the home of a known acquaintance, when a strange man approached her.
The man pulled out a handgun and forced the woman into a secluded area behind a townhome on nearby Vermont Place, where he raped her, police said. The man fled on foot after the attack. Emergency responders took the woman to a local hospital, while police used a K-9 and helicopter to search for the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5’9” with a medium build. He was wearing a black, puffy winter jacket, dark gray jeans, and a black and white bandana.
