Road Rage Shooting Injures Driver On Dumfries Road, Police Get Lead On Vehicle

Prince William County Police are seeking a driver in a shooting that injured another driver and struck his vehicle in the mid-county area.

UPDATE: Police released an image of the vehicle believed to be involved in the road rage shooting.

MANASSAS, VA — A road rage shooting injured a driver Wednesday in the mid-county area, according to Prince William County Police.

Around 3:43 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to Dumfries Road near Walton Drive for a shooting. Police say a 36-year-old man was heading northbound on Dumfries Road when a road rage incident occurred with another driver. Both vehicles stopped at the intersection, leading to a verbal argument and the suspect firing multiple rounds. The gunshots struck the victim and his vehicle.

The victim drove to a hospital, leading to police being notified. Non-life-threatening injuries were reported.

Police have not identified the other driver. The suspect vehicle was identified as a dark gray Honda Odessey with possible damage to the right rear panel. The driver was described as a light-skinned man with a fade haircut and goatee.
