Route 28 Lane Closures To Happen Over 4 Weeks At Prince William-Fairfax Line
Route 28 commuters in the Manassas area should be aware of upcoming lane closures at the Prince William and Fairfax County line.

MANASSAS, VA — Commuters who take Route 28 around Manassas and Centreville should be aware of upcoming lane closures happening during the daytime over four weeks.
The Virginia Department of Transportation announced the Route 28/Centreville Road lane closures at the Fairfax County and Prince William County line on select weekdays from March 31 to April 24. The closures are due to repairs to the bridge over Bull Run. Work is weather permitting and will happen during the day between Mondays and Thursdays.
From Monday, March 31 to Thursday, April 3, and Monday, April 7 to Thursday, April 10, the right lane of southbound Route 28 will be closed between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

From Monday, April 14 to Thursday, April 17 and Monday, April 21 to Thursday, April 24, the right lane of northbound Route 28 will be closed from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
VDOT said drivers should anticipate delays and use alternate routes. Drivers are encouraged to use caution in active work zones.
