Separate Abduction, Robbery Attempt Linked To Shooting In Manassas
Manassas Police have made one arrest and obtained arrest warrants for another person after a shooting and separate incident.
MANASSAS, VA — Manassas Police have made one arrest and have arrest warrants for another person in connection to an Aug. 23 shooting and linked abduction and robbery attempt.
Around 1:28 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, police responded to the 8900 block of Center Street for reports of shots fired. Police say there was evidence on the scene that a shooting had happened. Witnesses reported a vehicle leaving the scene of the shooting. The victim was found at the hospital in stable condition.
A police investigation determined another incident with a separate victim happened in conjunction with the shooting. According to police, the victim was forced into a vehicle, and the suspect attempted to take the victim's car keys. The victim was found safe, and no injuries were reported.

The investigation remains active. Joseph West, 31, was arrested on Sept. 3 and charged with abduction and attempted robbery. He was held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center.
Adrian Kea remains wanted on charges of aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
