Sexual Assault At Gainesville Home Leads To Charges For Teen

GAINESVILLE, VA — A teen is facing charges tied to a sexual assault of a woman at a Gainesville home.

The sexual assault happened on Dec. 22, 2024 at the victim's home in Gainesville, Prince William County Police say. The victim, an adult woman, was hosting a gathering at her home. While she was incapacitated, police say an attendee sexually assaulted the victim.

Police obtained arrest warrants for the suspect, a 16-year-old boy from Haymarket, who turned himself in to police last Thursday. He is charged with rape and aggravated sexual battery and is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center.
