Vehicle Fire And Tampering Lead To Charges For Teen In Manassas

A 17-year-old is facing an arson-related charge and other more charges related to two incidents in Manassas.

MANASSAS, VA — Charges are being sought against a teen in a vehicle fire and vehicle tampering case in Manassas.

According to the City of Manassas Fire Department, incidents included a vehicle fire around 3:30 a.m. on June 7 and vehicle tampering case on May 14 in the 9400 block of Spice Glade Court. City of Manassas fire investigators took the 17-year-old suspect into custody on Wednesday.

The 17-year-old is charged with felony burning or destroying property, two felony counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle and misdemeanor destruction of property.

The Fire Marshal's Office received help from the City of Manassas Police Investigative Services Division on the investigation.
