Vets on Track Hosts Community BBQ Lake Jackson VFD
The August 27 community BBQ is presented as part of The Vets on Track Foundation's "Connecting with America" initiative.

Lake Jackson, Manassas, Virginia – The Vets on Track Foundation, as part of their “Connecting with America” initiative, is hosting a Community BBQ at the Lake Jackson Volunteer Fire Department on August 27, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to publicly thank the communities’ veterans and first responders for their continued and dedicated service. The public is invited to attend.
Companies and organizations from all over the region have pitched in to make this an honorable salute to those who have dedicated their lives to serve others. From music by Lonesome Ryder, to food by Mission BBQ, Bubba Burgers and Georgetown Cupcakes, and booths and displays, there will be something for everyone. “Veterans and first responders with an ID card will get their meals free,” said Rick Ecker, Founder and CEO of the Vets on Track Foundation. “Family members and guest will be charged a nominal fee for their food,” he added. “There will be door prizes, raffles and a lot of community building and comradery,” the retired Marine concluded.
The mission of the Foundation is to help bridge the gap between our military, first responders and the American people, and It’s through events like this that the Foundation is able to achieve its objective – one community at a time.

The Vets on Track Foundation is a Virginia-based, federally registered 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization headquartered in Northern Virginia, and supports veterans, first responders and their families through platforms like the “Fresh Start” and “Resource Summit” Programs.
