Volunteers Raising Funds for Dog Found With Mouth, Legs Taped

Ozzy, a Westie, needs $6,000 to treat injuries suffered when his mouth and legs were taped during a burglary in Manassas.

About $6,000 is needed to treat a dog seriously injured by a suspect who allegedly taped he and another dog's legs and mouths before throwing them in the trunk of a car.

Ozzy, a West Highland Terrier, and his female companion were abducted April 17 from a home on Quail Run Lane, in the Manassas area of Prince William County following an alleged dispute between the victim and the suspect, authorities said.

Ozzy was able to escape from the car near Thoroughfare Drive where he was found by a passing motorist and taken to an animal hospital.
