Wrong-Way Crash Kills Driver From Quantico: Police
A driver died in a crash in which the vehicle was in wrong lanes and struck another vehicle head on.

MANASSAS, VA — A driver from Quantico was killed in a Saturday head-on crash in the Independent Hill area of Prince William County, according to police.
Around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Prince William County Police responded to a crash at Dumfries Road and Snowfall Drive. A police investigation found a 2018 Ford Mustang heading north on Dumfries Road in the southbound lanes hit a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx head on.
The crash caused the vehicles to rotate, and the Mustang came to stop in the median. Both drivers were extricated and taken to the hospital. The Malibu driver was treated and is expected to recover. On Sunday, police learned the Mustang driver had died from crash injuries.

The Mustang driver was identified as Gean C. Alvarez, 22, of Quantico. The other driver is a 51-year-old woman from Dumfries.
