Alexandria Gas Station Robbed at Gunpoint Wednesday Night: Police

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Alexandria Police Department is investigating an armed robbery Wednesday night of a gas station in the 500 block S Van Dorn Street in the City.

A suspect with a gun brandished the weapon and stole cash, police said; there were no injuries. Expect police activity in the area. US Park Police will be assisting Alexandria Police with their helicopter.

Police sent out an alert about the robbery Wednesday night just before 9 p.m. There was no description given of the suspect.
