Alexandria Police Make Second Arrest in Belle Pre Way Homicide
James Bolar, 33, is behind bars facing multiple charges in fatal shooting last year of Alexandria resident Leon Williams, 37, police said.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Alexandria Police have charged a second suspect with the homicide of Leon Williams, 37, who died from injuries sustained during a shooting that occurred on Belle Pre Way in North Old Town on Oct. 7, 2015, police announced Saturday.
James Bolar, 33, of Lorton, was arrested Thursday for Murder and Use of a Firearm Commission of a Felony, police said. He is being held without bond in the William G. Truesdale Detention Center in Alexandria, according to police. Brian Bolar, 26, of Dumfries was arrested in May on charges of Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon in connection with the shooting, police said at the time.
“I am really proud of our officers and detectives. We have been working with the community for the past year and half to identify those responsible for this criminal act,” Acting Chief of Police David Huchler said in Saturday's announcement, regarding the second arrest. "While we have already made one arrest in this case, this second arrest exemplifies our relentless pursuit of justice.”
