Carjacking Of Delivery Driver Leads To Alexandria Man's Arrest

Fairfax County Police identified a suspect from Alexandria in a carjacking of a delivery driver.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — A carjacking of a delivery driver in Fairfax County has led to a charge for an Alexandria man.

Around 11:05 a.m. Monday, Fairfax County Police responded to a carjacking in the 3300 block of Lockheed Boulevard in Groveton. Police say the victim was making a delivery when the suspect assaulted him, entered his vehicle and fled. Police received assistance from the Real Time Crime Center and Virginia State Police to locate the stolen vehicle in the City of Alexandria.

David Lewis, 34, of Alexandria, was arrested during a traffic stop and charged with carjacking. He was also served an outstanding warrant for a probation violation. He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held without bond.
