Dispute Over Sister Led To Fatal Alexandria Shooting: Police
An Alexandria man was charged with killing another Alexandria man during a domestic dispute over his sister, police said.
ALEXANDRIDA, VA — An Alexandria man was charged with killing a man during a domestic dispute at an apartment building at 3450 Berkeley St. Saturday night, according to police.
The Alexandria Police Department charged Damontie James, 26, of Alexandria with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Kory Anding, 29, also of Alexandria. James was also charged with use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
An Alexandria Police news release said James is believed to have shot and killed Anding during a domestic dispute involving his sister.

Authorities received a call for shots fired just before 11 p.m. Saturday. Officers found Anding with a gunshot wound and pronounced him dead at the scene. James remained at the site and was taken into custody by police.
The Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
