Shooting Injures 1 Person In Alexandria, Police Say

Alexandria Police are investigating a shooting Tuesday that sent one person to the hospital.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — One person was injured in a shooting in Alexandria on Tuesday, according to police.

On Tuesday evening, police said officers responded to the 3200 block of S. 28th Street, which is in the West End west of Interstate 395. One person had a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police have not announced an arrest or a suspect description. The Fairfax County Police helicopter was assisting with the search.
