6 Arrested In String Of Reston-Area 7-Eleven Robberies: Police

RESTON, VA -- Police have arrested three men and three juveniles who they say robbed multiple Reston-area 7-Eleven convenience stores.

Police arrested them Monday morning after they robbed one 7-Eleven store, and then connected them with three other robberies in late June, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

Police say the suspects robbed the 7-Eleven at 6820 Old Dominion Drive on June 21 at 1:54 a.m.; the one at 2501 Centreville Road on June 22 at 3:37 a.m.; the one at 6910 Bradlick Shopping Center on June 29 at 2:58 a.m.; and the one at 10508 Leesburg Pike on July 1 at 2:38 a.m.

"In each incident, a group of suspects entered the store, displayed a firearm and demanded cash," the report states. "Detectives were able to identify potential suspects as well as a getaway vehicle being used in the robberies."

After the July 1 robbery, deputies from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office found the car and arrested five suspects after a chase, after which Fairfax County Police detectives took over, the report states.

Police arrested 20-year-old Michael Ackah, 18-year-old Amon Headley, and 18-year-old Victor Obinim, all from Alexandria. All three were charged with robbery, and Ackah received an additional charge of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, the report states.

Police also arrested three juvenile boys on charges of robbery. Additional charges are pending.
